Verifying all checks received
by using Security Check's national database, NCN, will serve to eliminate
bad checks written by "career bad check writers".
-
NCN's database is a record of those people with bad checks
outstanding to outlets that participate in the network. When a check writer
pays the bad check, their name is removed from the database allowing them
to immediately begin writing checks again.
-
NCN is the fifth largest database in the U.S. It is updated
each evening at 6PM., CST. This database encompasses a broad spectrum of
check writers as its contributing members are both large and small merchants.
Security Check's verification process is simple and one of the industry's
fastest, taking only 3-6 seconds. The verification equipment is compact
and provided by Security Check at a nominal cost.
-
By verifying checks, managers will be relieved of the burden
of basing check acceptance on personal judgement. This saves time and allows
you to blame the database when refusing to accept a customer's check, preserving
customer goodwill.
-
Security Check charges $.05 per verified check. In addition,
you must have compatible equipment in order to verify a check. Installation
charges will vary. If possible, existing equipment will be reprogrammed.
